(3) Terjadi kevakuman dalam silinder, yang menyebabkan campuran udara dan bahan bakar masuk ke dalam silinder
b) Langkah Kompresi
(1) Piston bergerak dari TMB ke TMA
(2) Katup hisap tertutup dan katup buang tertutup
(3) Pada akhir langkah kompresi busi memercikkan bunga api
c) Langkah Usaha
(1) Piston bergerak dari TMA ke TMB
(2) Katup hisap tertutup dan katup buang tertutup
(3) Hasil pembakaran menekan piston
d) Langkah buang
(1) Piston bergerak dari TMB ke TMA
(2) Katup hisap tertutup
(3) Katup buang terbuka
(4) Piston mendorong gas sisa pembakaran keluar
